Action of the product

ALMIRO®Fungicides is a systemic fungicide product containing three active substances—azoxystrobin, difenoconazole and tebucanozole—with different mechanisms of action. It is intended for the protection of oilseed rape against sclerotial blight and grey mould. It acts against a wide range of fungal diseases in cereal crops. The product is taken up by the plant’s leaves and stalks and then distributed systemically throughout the plant via the sap flow.
Azoxystrobin is a strobilurin derivative with systemic and translaminar activity. It inhibits spore germination and mycelium growth. The effect is primarily protective and must therefore be used before or at the onset of infection. It acts for a long time and can prevent new infections for 3–8 weeks. Difenoconazole is a systemic fungicide with preventive and curative effects. It is absorbed by the leaves and distributed acropetally and translaminarly in the plant. It stops fungal development by inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis in cell membranes. Tebuconazole is a triazole fungicide that has projective, curative and eradicative activity. The period of efficacy is in the range of 3–4 weeks after application. The product has a growth-regulating effect in oilseed rape.
