A spray selective contact herbicide
with residual effect in the form of a suspension concentrate (SC) to control winter wheat, spelt, winter barley and summer barley, rye and triticale against annual dicotyledonous weeds.
Action of the product:
ALMIRO®Diflufenican is a suspension concentrate containing diflufenican as the active substance, which belongs to the pyridine carboxamide chemical group, and which is used as a selective contact herbicide with residual effect for the control of annual dicotyledonous weeds in winter cereals and spring barley. Diflufenican creates a herbicide film on the soil surface and is mainly absorbed by young plants at the time of germination, secondarily by the root system and leaf area. Sensitive weeds germinate but soon turn yellow, followed by purplish-pink. The chlorosis spreads as the above-ground part grows, and the plants necrotise and die. After application, a slight transient discolouration may appear on treated plants, which does not affect subsequent growth. Under conditions favourable for growth, the residual effect may last up to 8 weeks after application.
