April and May are important months for plant protection and nutrition. The plants are exhausted by overwintering but also by fluctuations in day and night temperatures. It is necessary to regenerate well and be ready to carry out quality protection. ALMIRO products provide you with effective and efficient solutions.
Successful start
At the beginning of 2024, a new product, ALMIRO®Altron+, was launched. A next-generation plant biostimulant that focuses on providing cutting-edge solutions for plant growth and health. ALMIRO®Altron+ is characterised by a unique combination of many compounds. The higher stability of the substances in the product and the applied solution, the more efficient absorption into the plant, and especially the high stabilisation of yields in the long term, underline the overall excellence of this product. Spring applications effectively influence root mass growth and therefore promote better nutrient uptake from the soil and higher fertilisation efficiency. Co-applications with fungicides and insecticides positively influence the effectiveness of the pesticides used and promote a balanced crop development overall. Foliar application is recommended at a rate of 0.3 l/ha.
It is also important to focus on using sulphur in the foliar nutrition of cereal crops. Due to its thiosulfate formulation, the best results are achieved when ALMIRO®SN Prosulfan plant biostimulant is applied together with fungicides to winter wheat. In addition to sulphur, it contains nitrogen in both ammonium and fast-acting amide forms. ALMIRO®SN Prosulfan should be applied at a rate of 5 l/ha or, in case of two applications, 3 l/ha.
In case of zinc deficit, ALMIRO®ZINETIC liquid concentrate offers a quick solution. It is a source of the unique highly effective acetate-uronium form of zinc. ALMIRO®ZINETIC also promotes better plant rooting, growth and development. It should be applied at a rate of 0.8 l–1.0 l/ha.
Herbicide protection of summer and winter cereal crops
LECTOR Max contains the two proven active substances florasulam and tribenuron-methyl. It is an ideal solution for the control of cereal crops against dicotyledonous weeds such as bedstraw, chamomile, dead-nettle, cornflower, poppies, goosefoot, forget-me-not, violet, thistle, rape seed cast, and all brassica weeds. The high selectivity to the treated crops is complemented very well by the possible product application in Protection Zone II for groundwater and surface water. The dose of 25 g/ha should be applied as early as possible in spring from fully developed cotyledons to the stage of the 6th true leaf (max. to the 8th true leaf).
Stop seed cast and wheatgrass
ALMIRO®Quizalofop can be used to combat cereal seed cast and wheatgrass. It is a selective post-emergence herbicide against annual and perennial monocotyledonous weeds. It contains quizalofop-P-ethyl as the active substance and is registered for use in oilseed rape and sugar beet.
Effective against diseases
ALMIRO®Tebuconazole provides spring protection against phoma rot, brassica alternaria leaf spot, and cylindrosporiosis in winter oilseed rape. It is a systemic fungicide with tebuconazole as the active substance. It is characterised by preventive and curative efficacy and is also registered for winter cereals and summer barley. The recommended dosage is 0.5 l/ha.
ALMIRO®Fungicides provides a reliable solution against the entire spectrum of economically important diseases. This multi-component fungicide offers a unique formulation and combination of three active substances: difenoconazole, azoxystrobin and tebuconazole. It can be used especially against leaf spots, rusts, mildew and brown spot in barley, as well as for the protection of winter oilseed rape against grey mould. The product is applied as a preventive measure or immediately after the appearance of the first signs of disease at a rate of 0.9–1 l/ha.
Patel 300 EC is used against cereal diseases practically throughout the entire application period. From diseases of culm foot through leaf diseases up to ear diseases. This broad-spectrum fungicide with registration for cereals and oilseed rape contains prothioconazole as the active substance, which is considered one of the most effective azoles. It is applied separately by spraying at a rate of 0.65 l/ha. Patel 300 EC can be used as such and is also an excellent partner for many other fungicides.
One of them is COMMODOR. This is a broad-spectrum fungicide containing azoxystrobin as the active substance. It has a long-lasting effect and can prevent the development of a new infection. The product has a strong green effect and is mainly preventive against a wide range of fungal diseases of cereal crops and winter oilseed rape. COMMODOR is applied at the recommended rate of 0.8 – 1.0 l/ha.
